Presented by the Alexander & Buono Foundation, Inc. in Association with Razom for Ukraine and C. Bechstein Pianos

Shelest Piano Duo with the
Brandywine Valley Symphony Chamber Orchestra
Michael Hall, Artistic Director

On Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM, pianists Anna and Dmitri Shelest joined the Brandywine Valley Symphony Chamber Orchestra, led by Artistic Director Michael Hall, at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. The afternoon marked the orchestra’s Carnegie Hall debut and opened Razom for Ukraine’s fourth annual Ukrainian Cultural Festival.

Presented by the Alexander & Buono Foundation in association with Razom for Ukraine and C. Bechstein Pianos, the concert brought together Ukrainian and American voices in a program spanning reflection, hope, and resolve. Works by Valentin Silvestrov, Philip Glass, and Samuel Barber shared the program with the U.S. premiere of Ukrainian composer Oleh Bezborodko’s Steel, Violet, Rage, a concerto for piano four hands and string orchestra.

For the Foundation, the afternoon reflected the purpose at the heart of its work: creating opportunities for extraordinary artists and bringing people together through music. It was a celebration of artistic collaboration, Ukrainian culture, and the connections that make an occasion like this possible.
